NETWORK ENGINEER

1. Primary office location Weehawken NJ. Must be available to work late Friday until approximately 10pm, 2 or 3 times a month.
2. Hands-on experience with Cisco, F5, Palo Alto, Checkpoint hardware.
3. Hands-on experience with cabinet and rack mounting, cable running, labeling, etc.
4. Hands-on experience with wiring standards, concepts and terminology, ie CAT 5, Cat 6, MMF, SMF, LC, SFP's
5. Hands-on experience with LAN switch configurations for L1, L2, L3 attributes.
6. Ability to document, diagram, inventory with MS Office products.
7. Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
8. Thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM, etc.)
9. Thorough understanding of Local Area Networking including the support of multi-server environments including IP address schemes, DNS, DHCP, EtherChannel (Bonding), etc.
10. Experience with working on SLA environments, with established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
