BUSINESS SYSTEM ANALYST 

JOB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: 

- Business Systems Analysts study the overall business and information needs of an organization, in order to develop solutions to business and related technology problems.A Business Systems Analyst's role is usually undertaken prior to the system design, building and programming stages of the systems development process. Works closely with clients to identify business needs and the costs and benefits of implementing a computing solution. Construct IT definitions based on identified needs of the organization. Work with other IT experts to address networking and hardware needs. Devise and document a general system design based on the client's anticipated requirements. Negotiate options with the client. 
- Contractor position is a junior level position to analyze match exception data for buy-to-pay transactions across Client. Important to have good customer service skills, ability to use Excel spreadsheets, excellent analytical skills and supply chain (procurement transaction processing) knowleldge. Knowledge of PeopleSoft Procurement/Inventory and match exception is highly desirable.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Evaluating match exception data to determine fit for business scenario and accompanying procedure 
- Educating end user staff in how to work and clear match exceptions based on procedures 
- Tracking and monitoring resolution to vendor credit holds and outstanding payments due to match exceptions across Kaiser Permanente 
- Developing optimized solutions to avoid match exceptions through vendor relationship management 

REQUIRED SKILLS:     

- Understanding of three way match rules in supply chain procurement and payables.
- Understanding of procure-to-pay systems (preferably PeopleSoft) 
- Strong analytical skills using large volumes of data in Excel
- Strong communication skills to assist in educating and working with a variety of stakeholders

DESIRED SKILLS: 

- HIGHLY DESIRED - Peoplesoft or Oracle The role will be a strong learning curve with out this.
- Procurement and Inventory Modules in PeopleSoft.
- Three way match rules in PeopleSoft 
- Some education/support role in procurement, payable or three way matching 

SOFT SKILLS:

- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Ability to understand complex details to assist with problem solving
