Jr User Experience Designer

Responsible for the design and implementation of web projects including eCommerce merchandising, on-site promotions, landing pages, UI maintenance, UI enhancements, cutting up of device images, and user interface comps. This position is responsible for creating clean, user-friendly designs, concepts, and marketing campaign experiences that adhere to our brand standards. The Web Designer collaborates with cross-functional teams including product managers, campaign managers, category managers, producers, developers, and agency partners to bring high quality experiences to the web environment that align with business objectives, industry best practices, brand guidelines, and project timelines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Creates on-site promotional ad tiles and landing pages
- Device asset production.
- Responsible for cutting up new device images and optimizing for the Web.
- Will manage the process from device product owners to Web implementation.
- Web page updates and enhancements.
- Optimizes graphic images for web, utilizes web standards to ensure best in class design
- Contributes to the greater team as a creative consultant in requirements gathering, feature development, brainstorming and idea-generating sessions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

- 3-5 Years Web design in design firm, advertising agency or corporate environment with rapid conception and delivery time frames.
- 3-5 Years Designing web interfaces on large scale projects.
- 2-4 Years Large eCommerce and eService environment specializing in electronics or consumer product
- Must have experience providing redlines (specs) to development and optimization of images.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Proven professional portfolio of work that demonstrates process, design, and shows a commanding knowledge of user-friendly design projects.
- Expertise in Photoshop.
- Strong knowledge of Illustrator, ImageReady, and Flash.
- Strong knowledge of current E-commerce technologies in terms of Web design and scalable dynamic GUI's.
- Understanding of current web programming fundamentals such as HTML, CSS
- Web-image expertise and skill-set to optimize file sizes.

EDUCATION:

- High school diploma or GED required.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- Bachelors Degree (Web design, graphic design or related field) preferred.
