Jr IT Support Technician

Our client is the world's leading online retail company looking for best-in-class client-side support personnel to support employees in the Herndon, VA office. This person will provide quality hands-on technical support to internal customers while exceeding their expectations at every opportunity.

The successful JR IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN will be extremely customer focused and motivated by team success. You will work hands-on to support laptop and desktop hardware and software. You will help troubleshoot phone, network, VPN, and account problems. Successful candidates will be innovative, energetic, and able to adapt to new processes and procedures quickly while dealing with a high volume of requests. He or she will be committed, flexible, and have demonstrated the ability to maintain high levels of productivity with minimal supervision.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 1-3 years of hands-on PC hardware, software and operating system support experience with exposure to a wide variety of products, issues and customer types
- Experience supporting Windows 7 and Microsoft Office in an enterprise environment
- Exposure to Macintosh or Linux
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication skills
- Proven ability to generate a high throughput in order to meet customer SLAs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience supporting Mac or Linux
- Experience supporting Cisco Switches or Routers
- Experience with Microsoft server including Active Directory and Exchange

This is a short term contract opportunity.
