DESCRIPTION
The Jobsite Controller has overall responsibility for all reporting and controlling requirements of the project, for proper consolidation of Project results and for a comprehensive communication to secure consistent accounting and reporting of the Project. The Jobsite Controller will manage the Time & Material subcontract.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- The jobsite controller takes overall responsibility of all financial issues on the project, ie from start of the project to project completion and contract close:
- Have at all times full knowledge of the subcontract budget.
- Ensure that such information is consistent, approved and reconciled on a regular basis.
- Directly responsible for the subcontract
- Tracking subcontractor performance to budget and tasks and to project schedule
- Reconciling completed tasks and vendor invoices to actual performance
- Coordinating daily activities with the Site and Project Management teams
- Check, control and monitor movements in Actual and Committed Costs on a monthly basis: identify and analyze variances versus project budget, search for root causes of variances, interface with project manager and other relevant teams (eg sourcing), and ask for corrections when necessary.
- Reassess and ensure that Costs at Completion are aligned with project assumptions.
- Manage and forecast cash movements monthly.
- Support risk and opportunity valuation, once risk/opportunity identification has been done by Project Manager.
- Ensure total consistency of assessment and appropriate booking for any shared risk/opportunity in the project.
- Be aware of and able to detect issues related to taxes, insurance (export credit, EAR, etc ) and duties, and identify the effect on the project costs/cash flows.
- Provide all necessary support to Project Directors/Managers on financial issues
- Providing other services to the Operations Group as needed to support the preparation of departmental resource projections and analysis, and other tasks required to ensure the department operates within the Business Unit requirements.
- Accurate, timely production and consolidation of subcontract financial statements.
- Transparency and accuracy of project financial KPI's

SKILLS:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferable

EXPERIENCE

- Minimum of 3-5 years jobsite/project controller experience
- Knowledge of SAP
- Mandatory efficiency in Excel
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Interact directly with subcontractors in a leadership role
- Assertive personality
- Ability to make presentations to other team members as well as management in a clear and concise manner.
- Display initiative in recommending solution that will maintain or enhance the project financial position
- The successful candidate is expected to be detail oriented and to be able to learn and work independently.
- Occasional travel required (10%)
