Jboss Infrastructure Engineer

Client Overview:
Founded in 1858, our client is a Fortune 100 company with over 800 retail stores across the United States. They are dedicated to developing and retaining their talented workforce by providing meaningful training and advancement opportunities for their employees. They are currently seeking a JBOSS Infrastructure Engineer for a contract opportunity to join their team.

Position Summary:
The JBOSS Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for building and configuring JBOSS Servers. Position requires individual to be highly self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work to tight deadlines. They will need to be able to understand and troubleshoot web infrastructure and application issues. They will also use a variety of tools to analyze the environment for the purpose of potential areas of improvement and 24x7 availability. Previous JBOSS EAP and EWS build experience is a requirement. This position requires excellent communication, teamwork, planning and coordination skills. Familiarity with server build automation using Chef, Ruby and Jenkins is a strong plus.

Required Technical Experience:

- 2+ years of JBOSS experience
- Shell Scripting experience
- Unix/Linux environment
- TCP/IP based networking protocols
- Java Application Server management
- Technical Experience not required, but a plus
- Server build automation
- Ruby and or Python Scripting experience
- Chef Solo, user experience
- Jenkins job creation experience
