Javascript Architect - Hong Kong Based

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE FOR THIS ROLE

- Experience of Architecting large scale Enterprise JavaScript Applications
- Deep understanding of JavaScript libraries including Dojo and or Backbone
- Role will be based in Hong Kong.

EXPERIENCE OF

- OO JavaScript development
- Functional JavaScript programming
- Developing and Architecting of modular JavaScript applications
- Web application design and delivery experience with modern web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3
- Cross-browser JavaScript implementation
- Implementing complex user interfaces
- Continuous integration and delivery experience with automated build processes.
- Profiling and optimising JavaScript web applications
- Integration with Java server applications

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Collaboratively define the Architecture for the re-platformed application
- Input on design & delivery process throughout the re-architected software project life cycle
- Setting out a road map for the clients development team to begin delivering on the re-architected platform
- Educating and mentoring the client's Architects
- Technical exploration: Prototyping and Spiking activities
- Technology evaluation including JavaScript libraries, estimation of efforts and technical documentation

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- The role requires a passionate and experienced JavaScript developer and Architect to help define an important clients technology roadmap.
- In the role you will help lead the re-architecting of a major application from Flex to a JavaScript based application. You will help define a strategy for migration and help define the working practices and methodologies during this migration.
- The current application is very large and has multiple modules. The role will require you to define the structure and working practices to support a new platform that supports multiple modules on an ever increasing code base. The code and working practices should be structured in a way to allow development by different teams at the same time.

The role is to be based in Hong Kong for 6 months, we are ideally looking for a UK based Contractor to work out there.
