Java Web Engineer

Next Ventures are currently looking for a Java Web Engineer to join a long-term project with a leading financial client in Amsterdam.

Experienced Java Web Engineer with experience working in an Agile/scrum and continuous delivery environment. You're going to develop together with your scrum team. You have experience with developing Java web applications. You are enthusiastic and always actively looking for improvements.

As Development Engineer you focus primarily on your build and test applications. Your work as a Development Engineer is very diverse, but to your main tasks/focus areas include:

- Contribute to the further implementation of Continuous delivery
- Refining the product backlog with the team and the Product Owner
- Building software;
- Development and implementation of (automated) test cases
- Analyse and solve bugs and defects

Your profile:

- Minimum 5 years experience in developing Java Enterprise applications
- Demonstrated experience with Spring, HTML, CSS, Javascript and preferably angularjs
- Eager to learn, ambitious, progressive communicator, team player
- Knowledge and experience with agile/scrum methodologies and DevOps
- Knowledge of Continuous delivery process and tooling (eg Jenkins, Nolio, Nexus, Sonar, Git, test automation tooling)
- You master the Dutch language spoken and written.
