Experienced Java Developer Needed For Greenfield Projects at Leading Inv. Bank - Edinburgh The Bank An international banking team working with some of theUK's leading financial service brands. The Position You will join a growing team in a position of responsibility taking charge of all aspects of the project life-cycle. Your role will not only involve hands-on developing in Java (and C#), but you will play a key part in requirement gathering from the client, the design and testing of these, and working with more junior team members to ensure quality of delivery. You will take on an important position in these projects and you must therefore be an excellent communicator, with proven experience of your abilities to work to deadlines, and deliver an excellent product. Technical Skills Required A big project that this team is currently undertaking is aGreenfieldproject that will involve moving a number of the existing C#/.NET systems to Java. Therefore you should have at least 5 years experience in: Java/J2EE. You should have good experience working in Websphere Applications Server and WebServices. Strong database skills in SQL Server/ Oracle Other desirable experience is in C#/ASP.NET (and WebServices); Design Patterns, SOA, HTML/ Javascript/ JSF; Junit, JQuery,Ajax, XML/ XSLT.
