Java Software Engineer with Prestigious Client

Senior Java Developer Position at one of World's the leading Investment Banks within its Securities team.

The client is seeking someone that is well experienced in Java Developing (a minimum of 5-7 years) - using Java, JSPs, Struts, JavaScript and other portal technologies. You should also have a strong working knowledge of Unix as well as strong RDBMS skills (e.g. Sybase ASE or IQ, IBM UDB?). Experience with legacy coding is an important prerequisite as part of the position will involve a new venture to move from the existing infrastructure to a new platform.

You should demonstrate excellent motivation, enthusiasm, and a willingness for a challenge. You will be working directly facing clients and other business users on a daily basis. This is an extremely competitive position as our client is keen for an extremely technical candidate, with excellent communication skills, to take on this senior level role. You will be working on the full project life-cycle and so should be a highly analytical candidate.
