Java Software Engineer Job

JAVA SOFTWARE ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in St. Charles, MO.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Modifying medium to complex code and developing medium to highly complex application code independently within or outside various teams using applicable technology.
- Testing and fixing defects; developing unit tests and test scripts; performing local development builds, application integration builds and code merges; being a primary contributor in code reviews; performing unit and integration testing; and planning and coordinating implementation activities.
- Assists with the analysis and review of software requirements and attends, or may lead, design presentations and/or design sessions.
- Implements complex modules, enhancements, or change requests based on a provided design and participates in migrating applications to the quality assurance and/or production environment.
- Normally provides instruction and guidance to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field.
- Three (3) plus years of experience focused on services or Server Side components of n-tier applications.
- Advanced application design and delivery experience.
- Advanced experience using Java.
- Advanced experience in Spring, Hibernate, and Web Services.
- Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery.
- Knowledge of SOA and AOP.
- Experience with software design methodologies, information systems architecture, Object Oriented Design, and software design patterns.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Knowledge of Android and/or iOS SDK is a plus.
- Working knowledge in Github, Maven and Jenkins a plus.
- Familiarity with Amazon AWS, Tomcat, Splunk, Sonar, soapUI etc. is a plus
- Knowledge of RDBMS is a plus.
- Knowledge of MVVM architecture is a plus.
