Java Software Engineer - Immediate Start - 3 Month Contract

Our Client is seeking an Experienced Software Engineer in Integration, Web Services and Database Modelling.

Software engineer experienced in integration, web services and database modelling, to assist in design and development of projects, conduct development/testing, and associated development/test/release activities; to work on proof-of-concept activities and project utilising OGC web services.

This position provides system development services and web services expertise to projects.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

- Experience in design, development, unit testing, integration of software applications on various platforms, including Linux;
- Experienced with software and data integration methods (especially OGC Web Services experience);
- Experienced in database modelling and design
- Orientation to team-work and problem solving
- Experienced programmer (Java, Python, .NET), compiling and configuring Open Source applications
- methodology exposure.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE:

- Experienced with configuration, release, dependency management of source code using Subversion;
- Experience in producing solution designs;
- Demonstrated experience in developing system and technical documentation;
- Ability to mentor other developers;

Demonstrated ability to adapt to customer's working culture and environment.
