Java Software Engineer - Fixed Income Pricing

A highly skilled Java Developer is required for the Front Office Fixed Income e-trading team of a large Tier 1 Investment Bank. The ideal candidate would have previous experience pricing Fixed Income products including a strong understanding of Interest Rate Curves, Yield Calculations, Futures and Interest Rate Swaps.

The role will involve direct interaction with the business unit and will require a large element of technical leadership with the potential of full team ownership, making this the ideal role for an ambitious tech lead looking to make the transition to full ownership of teams and projects.

The ideal candidate will also possess the ability to communicate complex ideas and build strong close working relationships with the traders giving the successful applicant full business exposure.

The main requirement is for a highly skilled Core Java coder with a strong and detailed understanding of Multithreading, Strings, Auto Boxing, Concurrency, Synchronisation and NIO to lead the development of the Core Fixed Income Pricing system.
