Java/Software Architect

We have an immediate need for a Java/SW Architect for a short term assignment in Zurich.

Requirements

- Strong development background, 10+ years' proven experience in hands-on development and architecture design
- 5+ years in the architect and/or lead engineer role building and delivering business solutions (preferable in Banking, Finance, Insurance industries). Experience building low latency, high performance and highly available systems.
- Proven experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data modelling, optimization (big volume of data)
- Experience with Java EE stack, Concurrency, SOAP, REST
- Experience with in memory data grids and distributed computing (eg Hazelcast, Gigaspaces, Hadoop, ElasticSearch)
- Strong experience with software development processes (Agile, Scrum)
- Strong experience in managing distributed cross-functional development teams
- Fluent English

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Enterprise Service Bus (eg Tibco, MQS)
- Strong Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Experience with Spring, Hibernate, MVC frameworks, Python
- Practical knowledge of RDBMS solutions (eg Oracle, MSSQL)
- Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins, Maven or Ant build scripts
- Experience with JUnit, TestNG JMeter, Selenium or other testing frameworks
- Mastery of IntelliJ, Eclipse IDE, CLion and other IDEs.
- Advanced knowledge of.NIX systems: Linux, Solaris
