Java Senior Developer with C# Experience for Zurich, Switzerland

Java Senior Developer with C# experience for Zurich, Switzerland is required for major client in banking industry for 12 months contract. 

Roles and responsibilities: 

- Strong development experience 
- Proven track record in the delivery of projects in Investment Banking financial sector 
- Excellent Communication skills and experience of communicating directly with and influencing senior stakeholders 
- Excellent core computer science knowledge (data structures, memory management, performance prediction, concurrency). 
- Good Experience with core Java 
- Experience of being involved in delivering large scale distribute systems 
- Experience with multi-threaded distributed systems 
- Experience with messaging systems 
- Development of reusable C#/Java client libraries. 
- Developed MS Office add-ins ideally Excel. 
- Good experience of Java client development and Java development environment. 
- Good experience creating C# WPF GUIs. 
- Strong knowledge of C# (.Net 4.0 onwards) 
- Able to write the same program/UI in C# and Java. 
- Has some experience creating UIs with Real Time (low latency) inputs (either C# or Java). 
- Know how to automate content testing. 
- Know how to use continuous integration tools: eg Maven, Teamcity, Nexus/Odyssey,   Subversion/Git. 
- Working experience with any Data Visualization tools like Tableau, Panopticon, Qlikview is a plus 
- Unit testing is a plus 
- Able to document and explain complex problems, architecture or features in a simple and appealing way. 
- Target oriented, able to estimate work accurately and deliver according to plan. 
- Creative, curious and willing to learn. 
- Good understanding of project life cycles in complex technical environments. 
- Strong interest in web technologies (HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript). 
- Fluent written and spoken English. 
- High degree of flexibility and can do attitude. 
- Experience with dashboard solutions a plus. 
- Ideally understanding of Risk (especially Credit and Market Risk) practices and processes
