Java Programmer Software Developer - JPSD-JC-398

Are you a Java Programmer/Software Developer looking for a new opportunity in the Ottawa area?

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OPENING, APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING:

- A minimum of five (5) years experience in the last ten (10) years in developing web based applications using Java, JavaScript, and JSPs with Oracle as the database Back End;
- A minimum of three (3) years experience in the last ten (10) years producing UML design documents;
- A minimum of three (3) years experience in the last seven (7) years implementing test strategies; and
- A minimum of two (2) years experience programming applications using Spring and two (2) years experience programming applications using Hibernate in the last seven (7) years.

Preference will be given to candidates with:
Additional experience developing using Java, JavaScript, and JSPs with Oracle as the database Back End;

- Additional experience producing UML design documents; and
- Experience writing unit tests and integration tests for automatic testing of source code.
- Main responsibilities for this opportunity will include but are not limited to:
- Application Development - code computer programs, review applications for adherence to standards, create test cases;
- Application Support - bug identification, configuration/installation/modification of free open source software products, change request identification, data manipulation and cleaning;
- System Administration - DB administration, operation system administration, Shell Scripting, system configuration and debugging, and software installation; and
- Quality Assurance - functional testing, unit test development, and automated test development.
