JAVA/PL/SQL DEVELOPER, BANKING
On behalf of our client, one of the most recognizable banking brands worldwide, Swisslinx are looking for an experienced Java/PL/SQL Developer for a rolling 6 month contract with a strong chance of extension.
The start date for this role would be October/November 2015.
- Challenging role as Senior Database Lead Engineer for developing and supporting Various Applications.
- Responsibilities would involve Application development and support
- Analysis, validation and implementation of customer requirements in coordination with the team
- Designing, data modelling, implementing and maintaining databases (Oracle and MS Access)
- Writing specifications, do the engineering, design and implementation of new requirements
- Creating and optimizing advanced database queries to retrieve and manipulate information for reporting purposes
- Creating and updating technical and business documentation
In order to be considered for this role you will possess the following skills and experience:
- Strong experience in data modelling and strong PL/SQL programming
- A Strong working experience with Java/JEE, Design-Patterns, XML/XML Schema, JSF, C/C++ and Shell (Unix)
- Good team player who is willing to learn and grow with the team
- Good knowledge with database (Oracle, Hibernate, SQL, MS Access )
- Experience in the platforms Windows, Solaris and Linux
- Experience in the banking sector strongly encouraged
- Strong communication skills, very good language skills in English, German as an advantage
