Java/Murex Developer

JAVA/MUREX DEVELOPER

Our client, headquartered in Zurich, is an important subsidiary of a global company in the finance industry.

We are looking for a Java/Murex Developer. For this contract position based in Zürich, our client is looking for an English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible.

THE ROLE

- Good knowledge of the Java framework, I/O, Multithreading, persistence frameworks (Hibernate, JAXB, etc.)
- Good design of SQL queries and ability to investigate performance issues
- Knowledge of build tools and IDEs and knowledge of control versioning systems
- Good understanding of the IT domain overall, with special attention for networks and distributed applications
- Core Murex skills for MxML and/or Datamart
- The working language is English, in an open and multicultural environment
- Financial domain knowledge is not required but seen as an advantage
- German speaking is not mandatory but seen as an advantage

THE SKILLSET

- Degree or higher education in Information Technology and/or Business/Economics or equivalent
- Good knowledge of OTC Products and general Business know-how and some years of practical experience
- Knowledge of trading and Back Office systems in international banking environment
- Familiar with iterative development styles and fast turnaround in a tight team
- Strong communication skills and good language skills in English and German
- Drive for high quality and working with other internationally oriented organizational units to achieve common goal
