Skills Required:

Performance Optimization and Tuning

- Should be aware of best practices for optimizing SQL SERVER STORED PROCEDURES

JAVA-J2EE

- Should be able to architect a solution in this technology area fora given problem statement.
- In depth knowledge of mutli tire architecture.
- Should be able to design and architect solution around J2EE, should be well versed with stacking and layering of architecture modelling, should be conversant with decision making in terms of technology comparison with J2EE technologies
- Should be able to understand customer business requirements and propose optimal solutions around J2EE technologies focusing on simplifications, virtualization, aggregation and automation.

UML - UNIFIED MODELING LANGUAGE

- Must be able to capture requirement and create design detailed design diagrams and documents using UML tools and ensure good amount of Tool generated code
- Technically guide the implementation team throughout the SDLC.
- Identify complex design patterns and is able to do complex refactoring

OOAD AND DESIGN PATTERNS

- Has used at least 2 patterns from each of the Creational, Structural and Behavioral category in real life project successfully.
- Able to apply design patterns (and combinations of these) straight away to problem solutions of fair complexity, and able to explain the reason of choosing one pattern over the other
- Has mentored at least about 20 unique architects/engineers on OOAD and Design patterns basics
- Able to analyze UML diagrams/information and readily and intuitively mine out Embedded design patterns, ability to comment on non trivial architectures and design in a relevant domain
- Familiarity with design pattern tools wherever applicable
- Has mentored at least about 20 unique architects/engineers on Design patterns basics
- Is aware of how to write patterns and submit patterns to international bodies

PORTALS

- Certified and should have min of 1 year of experience on Portal.
- Should have participated in Design Analysis validating the requirements
- Gap Analysis
- Responsibilities to carry out support in a live and test environment, administration

Essential Skill(s)

Weblogic Portal

- Strong in design concepts using J2EE, design patterns, portlet frameworks
- Exposure to architecting and designing enterprise portal applications using Oracle Portal Server infrastructure
- Good knowledge of configuration of Oracle Portal server, designing Oracle Workflows and optimization
- Good knowledge on hardware capacity planning Strong knowledge of integration with other products Evaluation and recommendation of Portal frameworks Application performance tuning   Scalability issues
