Java JEE Performance Tester - English Speaking Contract in Zurich

For a global bank based here in Zurich we are looking for a JEE Developer/Java Performance Tester to join the team.

THE JOB:

- examine Java code, identify and eliminate bottle necks
- you will work in the area of Financial Meggasing and Routing Systems
- ideally you can also do some Operating System performance tuning
- this contract is initially for 6 months but there is a strong chance of contract extensions

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WITH:

- 8+ years' experience in IT (JEE Development, architecture)
- SOLID KNOW HOW WITH JEE PERFORMANCE TESTING
- An engineering mindset in terms of structured analysis of complex systems and problem approaching
- A high level of abstraction skills to create strategies and planning for tests of IT systems
- A good domain know-how in financial industries and preferable trading and risk systems
- A recent hands-on knowledge for Java (Architecture, Design-Pattern, Run-time)
- Any of the following skills is an advantage: Database performance tuning, Distributed Caches (like coherence), Linux/Unix system tuning
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluency in English is essential
