We are seeking a JavaScript Developer with at least 2 years of JavaScript experience coupled with good server side Java programming skills to join the software engineering team of a global organisation at their most exciting time of growth.

Our client is a leading software provider with an impressive client portfolio of financial institutions. They have several offices across the UK and the successful JavaScript Developer will be based at the Bristol office.

Joining a dynamic, friendly and hardworking development team, you will work on a whole new web front end application from scratch for a new product and have ownership of the web frontend.

Working within an Agile environment, the role will require the candidate to bring a certain level of expertise as you will focus on browser rather than server. The successful JavaScript Developer must demonstrate proven experience of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Ajax and jQuery / jQueryUI, including experience of different libraries e.g. plugin system, widget factory. It is important you also have a solid Java background - experience of related Java technologies such as Spring, Maven, Rest web services would be advantageous.

In addition, you will need to be outgoing and pro-active. You must be a strong team player and possess excellent communication skills. You must be flexible and adaptable, as well as be able to use your initiative to present and communicate ideas confidently. You will also have excellent analytical thinking and problem solving skills.

Essential Skills:
- 2+ years JavaScript web development experience
- Java development (server-side)
- AJAX, HTML, CSS
- Experience in JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, Doho, Backbone)
- Full SDLC with JavaScript apps
- Agile / Scrum development environment
