Java/J2EE Developer, Spring/Hibernate - European Commission

JAVA/J2EE DEVELOPER - SPRING/HIBERNATE - EUROPEAN COMMISSION - BRUSSELS

For one of our projects at the European Institutions in Brussels, we are urgently looking for a Java/J2EE Developer - Analyst.

ROLE:

The tasks to be performed cover the complete life cycle of a document management information system construction and maintenance.

Main TASKS:

- Analyzing business requirements
- Performing technical analysis and producing technical specifications both for application and database layers
- Prototyping and producing technical documentations
- Writing/maintaining application code that reflects the business requirements and technical specifications
- Defining and integrating various technological components
- Ensuring integration of application developed with other existing corporate information systems
- Elaborating test scenario and defining test data sets and unit test
- Assistance in training system managers and key end-users
- Assistance in deploying and configuring application developed
- Assistance with evaluating and testing products delivered by other teams to ensure that they conform to the organization requirements and methodology.
- Participation in meetings with the internal and external services/partners
- Participation to missions in EU Delegations premises

For this role you need to have EXPERIENCE in:

- In depth knowledge of application development environments in Java (J2EE) and Object Oriented programming
- Good knowledge of Oracle
- Good knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tiers Internet applications
- Good knowledge of Spring and Hibernate

The next are considered ASSETS:

- Good knowledge of modelling tools (eg UML)
- Good knowledge of software development methodologies (eg RUP, Agile)
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments

LANGUAGES:

Fluent in English
