Duration: 12 Months (+ possible extension)

Context

Within Global Technology, the Product Development team is in charge of developing the company's Global Information Systems and maintaining them aligned with company's business needs.
To achieve this mission, the team is leading projects from business requirements gathering to project delivery.
In the scope of a fairly complex web application development, the Java EE Developer is responsible for implementing the required IT requirements into software designs as well as development and assembly of components, coding, unit testing and documentation to create custom solutions for our internal users.
The Java/J2EE Developer will be a member of an Agile Scrum Team.

Function:

Create custom solutions for our internal and external clients
* Establish design documentation based on business requirements.
* Develop, assemble, integrate and test components that meet the business requirements
* Liaise with Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure requirement compliance and test coverage
* Deliver the expected artifacts with applicable quality standards and performing as expected to the business environment and end user.

Integrate with an Agile Scrum team
* Effectively communicate with the rest of the Scrum team (Product Owner, Developer, QA Analyst and Business Analyst).
* Indicate performed and upcoming activities as well as known impediment/issues.
* Express issues in a clear, consistent and understandable manner (written, verbal).
* Take ownership of all assigned tasks and project related assignments.
* Ensure direct communication over email/ticketing chain to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.

Profile:

* Bachelor or Masters of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent
* 2years experience in building industry proven Java/J2EE solutions.
* Experience integrating in a Scrum driven development team
* Multi-cultural experience on geographically distributed projects is a plus.
* Experience with financial data is a plus.
* English fluent: written and oral
* Abilities to deal within a multicultural and distributed environment (ability to communicate effectively in a conference call setting).
* Abilities to showcase the JAVA/UI accomplishments to the rest of the team and stakeholders when the occasion rises.
* Word, Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, Outlook
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Able to focus on deadlines and deliverables in an autonomous manner
* Enthusiastic about his field and related technologies.
* Able to present the team as well as our products in a positive and professional manner

Technical skills:

Proven track record (2 years+) with
* J2EE with a focus on web development
* RESTFUL services
* Developing and integrating web based applications
* Database driven applications (Oracle, SQL)

Experience of the following:
* Java 1.7 development & best practice
* Spring frameworks including Spring MVC, Spring Data & Spring Security
* Agile development practices including Test Driven Development using JUnit & Mockito.
* Maven
* Design patterns
* JBOSS
* Eclipse
* SVN

Nice to have:
* Angular 1.x
* JavaScript
* HTML with CSS
