Java GUI Developer

Java GUI Developer wanted for our Zurich based client in the banking sector.

YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- 10+ years of experience in IT software engineering space and 7+ years of experience in banking/financial industry
- Solid experience in inserting new technology into enterprise systems as well as expertise in Java, JSF, J2EE and Oracle development and Agile (Scrum) approaches working with JIRA/Confluence
- Working experience within a team carrying all phases of the systems development life cycle and broad technology delivery, including custom & website development
- Strong knowledge of leading a technical team, mentoring on software engineering design, development, and frameworks, evaluating alternatives, and suggesting technical options to clients
- Proficiency in implementing enterprise level external websites in a distributed environment as well as solid experience with web services, Spring and other Java EE technologies.
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken

YOUR TASKS:

- Developing software to cover the project life cycle, build and implement rigid processes for designing, developing, testing and promoting code in compliance with company guidelines and industry best practices ensuring a maintainable solution
- Determining user needs and software requirements to resolve feasibility of design in time and cost constraints
- Analyzing critical mission gaps, repetitions, and dependencies lined up with component impacts or costs.
- Assuring that high standards and quality of technical solutions are met, maintaining abreast of appropriate technology developments and drives technology innovation
- Designing and developing complex applications and external website in support of PRIIPS program following best practices and formal methodologies
