Java / Fatwire Architect

Java/FatWire Architect required by market leading financial services sector client in London. The Java/FatWire Architect will act as the product specialist in Architecture, Design and Development.

Key Responsibilities:
-Responsible for strategic architectural and technology leadership/oversight for design and development of high performance distributed applications and services
-Responsible for technical consulting, requirement analysis and solution envisioning, solution creation for the requirements
-Doing Proof of concepts
-Responsible for client stakeholders management
-Participate in training initiatives & mentoring of technical team 15%

-Reviewing Design/Code of peers
-Responsible for establishing best practices, cultivating thought leadership, and developing common assets / framework components / reusable solutions on FatWire at the organisation level that can be leveraged across multiple delivery projects.

Essential Skills
-FatWire in web content management with both from business and Technical perspective.
-Should be able to understand functional requirements, convert it to technical solution and architecture.
-Experience with server setup and overall best FatWire Practices also needed.
-Solid understanding of Java / J2EE, JSP in the context of FatWire, Web logic, Apache and Tomcat technologies.
-Should be able to create custom components.
-Have a good understanding of software engineering Practices * SDLC.
-Must have excellent communication and organisation skills, object oriented development skills, documentation skills, self-motivation, project leadership expertise, and maintain outstanding professionalism and time management skills.

Desired Skills
-Hands-On FatWire lead with expertise in the design and development of FatWire based web experiences.
-Content personalisation, click-stream and content targeting.
-Multi-lingual, multi-country experience.
-Expertise in batch content importing and data management.
-The candidate should be familiar with the core capabilities of the WCM platform and have experience in:
-FatWire application architecture
-Planning and configuring infrastructure to support FatWire
-Configuration and administration of FatWire Products : Content Server, Engage, Satellite Server,
-Site topology and content organisation
-Asset model design for both Basic and Flex Assets
-Page & Template Design
-FatWire Customisation
-Content Analytics

The candidate should be familiar with the core J2EE design and development, having experience in:
oJDBC, Ibatis, Hibernate, and other data persistence technologies.
oSpring Framework
oFront end web development in HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, and CSS
oWeblogic Platform
oWeb Services

Knowledge:
-Sound Knowledge in FatWire product suites
-Should have excellent communication skills and customer facing experience
-Liaise and work with a globally dispersed customer and development teams

Experience:
-Proven track record with WCM concepts, FatWire based Project delivery experience
-Experience in mentoring junior / less experienced developers
-Experience in communicating with business users to educate around product capabilities
