JAVA ENGINEER - DIEGEM, BELGIUM - ENGLISH SPEAKING

One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a Java Engineer.
PLEASE FIND SOME DETAILS BELOW:
Description: In your role as Chapter Lead you'll need a deep knowledge of Java and micro services. You are a competent Engineer with multiple years of experience and a brought overview of software development. 60% of your time will be spent using and enriching this experience while taking on tasks for your team.
The remaining 40% you spend on building up expertise in your Chapter and developing your Chapter's members. You are enthusiastic about transferring your knowledge to others, coaching the members of your Chapter and oversee their personal development.
As member of a team, you'll:
- build up a deep knowledge of the squads' applications and platform components,
- develop and maintain the teams' applications or REST endpoints
- and help with the technical architecture and implementation.

As a chapter lead/Java engineer you will also need to:
- be experienced in Agile and Continuous Delivery practices
- be pro-active, assertive and a good communicator
- have an excellent written and spoken knowledge of English (knowledge of Dutch and/or French is an asset)
- write unit tests as a second nature
- you know your way around in openAPI/Swagger - Documentation des APIs
Experience with the items below makes us extra curious:
Cucumber, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, AKKA, ELK, Bluemix, AWS, Scala or Kotlin Jenkins - Automatisation pour le nouveau projet: .exe file creation, mise en préproduction.
Most important to the client is to have people management, team leading experience. Also important to have Rest API and Java 8 experience using the Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
Experience in interfacing applications via API, MQ and WebServuces. Experience with Oracle.
Knowledge of Git and FinTech context is considered as an asset.
