Java EE Developer - Mifid 2 Program

JAVA EE DEVELOPER required for our client, a major international bank. The client has set the goal for their MiFID 2 program to efficiently integrate new regulatory requirements into their application landscape.

THE ROLE:

As a JEE Software Developer, you will be responsible for implementing the MiFID 2 requirements into a strategic web application. You will be heavily involved in full cycle development of the application - analysis, design, implementation and unit testing of JEE software components and implementation of UI components with Java Server Faces. Refactoring and extending the existing application will also feature heavily. You will be prepared to take an active part in code reviews and other quality assurance actions and at all times adhere to the IT Solution Delivery Policies and other relevant regulations.

THE PERSON:

- Excellent Java EE application developer, with corresponding knowledge
- You will have proven ability in OO-Design, Java, J2EE-Architecture, JPA, Unix and Oracle DB.
- Previous experience with Java Server Faces is also required.
- Top quality experience in design or architecture and previous experience on large projects, large systems, with large throughput and high performance is a must
- Experience in a banking environment is definitely a plus
- You will have a clear ability to learn and adapt in a high performance environment
- A self-starter, being able to take ownership of tasks at short-notice, and push them to delivery.
- Experience of best-practices in a Java development environment (test-driven development, continuous integration, source code control)
- You MUST be fluent in English and ideally German (written and spoken).
