Our Client is an International Investment Bank Based in Amsterdam and they are currently looking for a Java/DevOps Engineer to join their innovation centre within the Financial Risk environment. You will be using cutting edge techniques and technologies to revolutionise the way the department works. You will be using technologies such as machine learning, big data, public cloud, Rest services to name a few.

The ideal person will come from a Java and DevOps background within a multi-disciplinary team. Each team member will be skilled in their field and will help other members to gain experience.

The ideal Java DevOps candidate will be comfortable with the latest technologies as well as assisting other team members to get to a higher level of development and work as a team on existing products and experimenting on new ones.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Spring Boot and/or Spring MVC frameworks to build lightweight web services using Java.
- Developing clean REST APIs that serve JSON formatted responses using libraries such as Jackson or Google Gson.
- Spring Data, JPA, and/or Hibernate and SQL/NoSQL databases namely Oracle and MongoDB.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools and code versioning tools like Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins.
- Experience with code management and continuous integration techniques and tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Bitbucket/Git, SonarQube, HPFortify Unit Testing is highly desirable

BONUS TECH EXPERIENCE:

- Familiar with Docker or another Linux container technology.
- SOA, ESB, JMS messaging, transactions, XML and/or Web Services
- HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
- AngularJS
- Testing utilities and frameworks like Protractor or Karma
- Understanding of OAuth and web application security in general.
- Big data experience with Hive/Hadoop and HDFS
- Cloud experience (AWS/Azure)
