FX Development Lead Investment Bank £80k + bonus + benefits
FX Programme at highly successful Investment Bank looking for Senior FX Developer to help deliver a world class low latency solution to the Front Office Trading team. Hardcore Java Developer with Low Latency experience required. £80k + bonus + benefits.
The successful candidate will be the Lead Developer of the Trading & Connectivity stream of the project. This team is going to work on a greenfield development project - a low latency trading system, and will do so alongside the Algo Trading team and Quants. There will also be significant improvements being made to the Connectivity piece too.
As the Lead Java Developer in this team, you will be responsible for the delivery of the solutions to the business. In this sense you will be a hands on developer, and at the same time, you will advise the team on best practice and ensure that the Java code being written is at a quality standard. You will also liaise effectively with the business to ensure that the requirements are understood and that these are relayed to the team effectively. You will have responsibility for delivery of projects to the business, reporting into the Programme Manager who will be overseeing a number of projects simulataneously. The majority of projects you work on will be messaging focused so these expertise are mandatory.
Mandatory skills to apply to this role:
* Exceptional Java Development skills including multithreading, low latency and distributed systems experience.
* Previous experience building a low latency trading system for the Front Office ideally for the FX space (if not FX, other financial areas will be considered if the candidate matches the rest of the spec).
* Concurrent programming in Java, JVM tuning.
* Messaging middleware - JMS, Tibco, Solace.
* Some exposure to Connectivity e.g. Informatica, 29West, LBM, ECN, Currenex,
* Test driven development experience - TDD.
