Java Development Engineer Job

DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client, SAP located in San Francisco, CA.

Top Skills Should You Possess:
- Expert with Java or C#
- Expert understanding of APIs (Soap or OData)
- Knowledge of JSON, JavaScript and Html

What You'll Be Doing:
- Design, develop and maintain software applications using state-of-the-art tools and technologies.
- Define and evangelize best-practices for cloud platform programming & usage
- Develop software applications in Java, using Java server to server APIs, HTTP requests, authentication, and XML or JSON payload
- Use networking and security technologies such as HTTP, RESTful API, Single-Sign-On
- Develop unit test cases and perform comprehensive unit testing
- Follow standard application development standards and best practices as well as those tailored to the development environment.
- Work independently and collaboratively.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Five to seven (5-7) years of overall software development experience, 5+ year in Java or another object-oriented programming language
- Solid understanding of Core Java concepts and principles
- Solid understanding of Java EE Web Application Technologies.
- Experience with programming in MVC model.
- Working knowledge of one more of the market-leading application Servers/web containers.
- Solid understanding of Internet protocols and practice. (Sr. level)
- Working knowledge on XML-based languages.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in software development, engineering, or related field
- Experience with Unix, Windows, JVM, Web Servers, Application Servers
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience with security programming and concept is a plus. (Sr. level)
- Experience working in an Agile development environment, preferably SCRUM
