JAVA Developer X 2 - Ireland - 6 Months - N TIER APP Design

My client are seeking an experienced Java developer for a contract position at their office in Ireland. This will be a technically challenging position, working on a major enterprise application. The role will require constant interaction with other developers in the team and project management to develop and maintain a robust, scalable, and performant system. The successful candidate(s) for these roles will have a minimum of 3 years commercial experience in Front End Java EE technologies (Java, JPA, Servlets, JSP or JSF).

Responsibilities

*Develop/Maintain multi-tier applications in Java
*Develop front-end, service and data layer.
*Develop unit tests, understand build systems (MVN, SVN)
*Peer review of detailed designs, code and unit tests.
*Bug fixing and enhancement implementation.

Technical Profile

*N-Tier application design and development
*Backbone.js + JSP experience
*Spring, Hibernate, JPA, REST
*A strong understanding of latency, performance in the JVM etc
*The use of JPA, Spring XD, Kafka and MongoDB in the new system, but ActiveMQ, MySQL and Hazelcast in the older system which the team are integrating with
*Scrum and BDD for development
*N-Tier application design and development
*Excellent knowledge of Java EE
*Web development (CSS, HTML, JavaScript)
*Spring Framework
*Web Service Development
*Strong application process flow and problem solving techniques
