On behalf of our client, a bank here in Zurich, we are looking for a Back End Java developer who is responsible for designing applications and customizing the existing applications. For this 6 months contract position based in Zürich, our client is looking for an English speaking candidate. Your tasks:
- Analyze user needs and software requirements
- Support in providing task-analysis and estimates, prototypes and POC
- Adjust existing software to correct errors and to improve its performance
- Drive a solid architecture and promote good coding practices
The skills and experience needed for this position are:
- 7+ years' experience in Java
- Experience in the banking area - know-how in the area of trading applications
- Know-how in C# is a plus
- Strong know-how in Object Oriented and Design
- Solid Design Patterns and Services design knowledge
- Strong SQL skills
- Work experience in a bank environment
- Fluent in English
