Java Developer/Software Engineer (Real Time, Maven, XML) Real Time Software Solutions Company headquartered in the UK and with a new office in Brooklyn, New York is urgently looking for a Java Developer/Software Engineer (Real Time, Maven, XML). This new office will be a launch pad to access new markets and clients throughout North America.

The Java Developer/Software Engineer (Real Time, Maven, XML) will have experience building Real Time low latency, high volume solutions. You will be expected to work in a fast moving environment, across multiple projects and as part of multi-disciplinary teams. The candidate will contribute significantly to the delivery specific Product Development projects by applying knowledge of Core Java, Design Patterns and Systems Integration. You will engage with new and existing techniques to inform the design phases of both platform and application elements that will be deployed and integrated with host utility and 3rd party systems in the near term and coming years.

Finally, the Java Developer/Software Engineer (Real Time, Maven, XML) will be expected to manage a small number of POC projects from requirements phase through to realisation and subsequently closedown. Client facing skills, budgetary control and diligence are pre-requisites for this role.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

5+ years experience as a Java Applications Developer/Software Engineer

Strong skills with: Core Java, XML and OO Methods Requirements and Design using UML

Strong Academic track record - degree in in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or similar
-

Proven ability to design, model, implement, and test high performance software
-

Agile/Waterfall experience
-

Exposure to build tools and process (CI/Maven)
-

Experience designing scalable platforms from prototype to deployment
-

Strong Linux knowledge
-

Good understanding of algorithms, data structures, multi-threading and/or Real Time programming
-

Java ME, Embedded systems, IP Networking and field-device integration knowledge

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly intelligent Java Developer/Software Engineer (Real Time, Maven, XML) with strong experience working in a demanding, fast-paced, exciting environment to take on a challenging, highly autonomous role building Real Time low latency, high volume solutions.
