Java Developer - SOA

IMMEDIATE HIRE for a SOA Integration Developer!  This is a 6 month contract position (option to be extended) and is located in the far North Dallas, TX area.  Out of state candidates will be considered, however, there is no relocation/expense reimbursement.

Qualified individual will design, develop, maintain and support integration using WebSphere Message Broker, WebSphere Connectivity and Governance and Oracle Fusion Middleware including SOA Suite 10g and 11g. 

DUTIES:

1. Designs system and defines problems by establishing output requirements and preparing proper documentation in professional format.
2. Assists users in determining specific system requirements and devises means of achieving desired end results.
3. Understands and complies with Software Development Life Cycle Methodology including design, specifications, testing and release management.
4. Codes, tests, debugs and modifies new and existing applications.
5. Determines the impact of proposed projects on current work load by establishing schedules for analysis, programming, and project completion/implementation.
6. Performs technical reviews of operating systems to identify and correct system problems.
7. Assists users in performing operational evaluation of installed systems and in making system adjustments to increase effectiveness.
8. Assists clients with basic questions and provides production support for applications as needed.
9. Manages assigned requests to completion in a timely manner.
10. Maintains data integrity and security protocols of all systems.
11. Performs other duties and activities as directed or required by supervisor/management.
12. Attends all scheduled training sessions and consistently applies learned skills to snoratisfy client requests.

REQUIRED:

1. Minimum 5+ years of design and implementation experience with SOA and integration solutions using WebSphere Message Broker, and WebSphere Connectivity and Governance.
2. Minimum 5+ years of experience with enterprise solutions using Java and the J2EE framework components (JMS, EJB, JSP, Servlets).
3. Minimum 5+ years experience in application development.
4. Strong knowledge of Oracle SOA Suite (10g/11g) and service-oriented design principles.
5. Experience th both Oracle (more specifically, PL/SQL) and MS-SQL with such features as Stored Procedures, writing of functions, etc.
6. Experience with topics and queues.
7. Experience with web services and XML technologies such as:  XPATH, XSLT, WSDL, UDDI, SOAP, XSD, and DTD.
8. Experience with Linux/UNIX operating systems.
9. Understands web security protocols.
10. Experience with organizing, conducting, analysing and documenting computer program research and development.
11. Able to design, implement and maintain data communications, security and privacy measures for assigned programs or systems.
12. Able to identify, analyze, and resolve programming problems applicable to information processing systems, to include problem-avoidance.
13. Experience with developing or revising programs to increase program effectiveness, using appropriate machine language (s).
14. Good organizational, problem solving and verbal/written communication skills.
15. Understands database driven sites and functionality.
16. Proficient using Microsoft Office software (Word, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint).

DESIRED:

1. 2+ years experience in Oracle 9i and 10g and MS-SQL.
2. Experience with MultiSpeak.
3. Broad range of technology experience including, programming, customer information systems, billing, report generation, analysis, etc.
4. Previous experience with software implementation or conversion.
5. Knowledge of Windows server architectures and operating systems.

EDUCATION: Associates Degree in related field or equivalent experience. Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience highly desired!
