Java Developer - Public Trust Clearance Job

JAVA DEVELOPER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Seaside, CA.

POSSESSION OF OR THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN A PUBLIC TRUST CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED AS A CONDITION FOR EMPLOYMENT.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Java Development experience
- Possession of or ability to attain Public Trust Clearance

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The candidate is expected to provide the services required to successfully implement and deliver solutions to the products he/she will be supporting. The solutions need to be stable, reliable, scalable, well documented, and of high quality. The developer will be responsible for coding, unit testing, integration testing, bug fixes, implementation, as well as ongoing support of the product delivered. This candidate will work on the military's healthcare software system to provide code relative to enrollment & eligibility information. The candidate will be responsible for performing as a Lead Developer, and as a mentor and subject matter expert on their team.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Eight or more (8+) years of hands-on experience developing J2EE applications on Weblogic 10.0 + Application Server
- Three or more (3+) years of experience in developing and implementing JAX-RPC/Restful based web services
- J2EE/Java performance testing and tuning experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems including knowledge of data modelling concepts, ERD design and development
- Extensive experience working with Oracle databases
- Strong experience in developing enterprise Java solutions following standard/best practices including SDLC, OOAD and design patterns
- Experience in the design, development and implementation of batch applications
- Good understanding and working knowledge on Software Development methodologies(Waterfall, RUP, AGILE/SCRUM)
- Proven experience building Java-based solutions for highly available, 24x7, and scalable systems on HP/Sun Unix platforms.
- Demonstrated analytical and Problem Solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities

- Team Lead experience responsible for managing the software life cycle, working with customers/users, and mentoring team members
- Participates as a member of and leads development teams.

- Advanced understanding of RDBMS databases such SQL Server and Oracle.
- Advanced understanding of modern software design and development methodologies.
- Experience on multiple full release project life cycles.
- Advanced understanding of modern SCM (software configuration management).
- Advanced understanding of testing tools and unit test and integration test Scripting, and testing methodologies
- Advanced experience using an Integrated Development Environment (eg, Eclipse, Visual Studio) and development of tool add-ins.
- Strong understanding of basic Database Administration. Able to define quality and security standards.
- General project management/team leader skills.
