Java Developer Position at top Investment Bank

This position is for a Senior Calypso Analyst Developer to take on the challenge and responsibility of the design and development of strategic back office solutions for the investment bank's trading business and support functions.

You will be using Java to develop extensions to Calypso modules, working in a business facing position - dealing with end-users, business analysts, and support analysts to make innovative solutions for the company.

Therefore this position is for a strong Java developer with extensive experience working in the financial industry using Calypso middle/back office development.

You will have the opportunity to develop and nurture what is arguably the most current and comprehensive implementation of Calypso. This system will be used by all business units: fixed income, interest rates, money market, credit, FX, commodity and equity - trading a number of vanilla, exotic, and structured OTC and exchange traded derivatives and securities.

You should also have:

a number of years in commercial software including Java, RMI and JMS - with as primary focus; as well as excellent object-oriented analysis, design and development skills.

A working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, Oracle - or similar RDBMS.

A suitable computer science related degree.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Enjoy working independently and in a team.

Experience using integrated development environments (Eclipse)

Experience using source control management systems (Perforce)

Experience using Agile methodologies is preferred
