Java Developer ( Message Bus ) Job

JAVA DEVELOPER (MESSAGE BUS) needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Denver, CO.

The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:
- This individual will be part of a software development engineering team responsible for analysing, developing, testing, implementing, and documenting software enhancements and fixes to a large application with an end goal of 6 9's uptime. Specifically, this person will be working on integrating a message bus tier into the existing application. The application is a critical, Tier 1 application, and is used 24/7.

This resource will also perform activities such as analysing application level monitoring tools (App Dynamics).

What You'll Be Doing:
- Integrate a message bus tier into existing application
- Provide software development expertise in developing a Network Monitoring platform for The Client
- Analyze requirements, designs and develops software applications in Client Server environment and/or web deployed applications
- Interact with Project Manager to understand requirements and scope the systems
- Participate in unit, integration, and system test procedures
- Document final program and develop user instructions, software/hardware requirements, program input/outputs and execution/installation steps
- Write and manage cron jobs for a large application
- Read and analyze application level synthetic monitoring
- Use monitoring tools like Zabbix, BAC, NSG, App Dynamics, Wiley
- Hands on experience with manual and automated software deployments

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Five (5+) years in Java (Junior to Senior level)
- Two (2+) years working with message bus (RabbitMQ a plus)
- Two (2+) years with MySQL, Oracle, PL/SQL and JDBC
- Two (2+) years Unix and Unix Shell Scripting
- Monitoring tools such as Wiley, App Dynamics - experience 1-2 years
- Experience in Object Oriented Design
- Experience with automated build environment, Jenkins, Maven or Ant
- Experience with high transaction volumes, high data throughput
