Java Developer, London

Progressive are seeking a Java Developer to be part of a compact team in a fast paced environment who will act as a key contributor in the design and development of their software product.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Provide proof of concept development to support business initiatives.
- Develop new features and functions to high quality and agreed specification.
- Work with Development Manager to determine the design and technologies for SOA EE6 Stack, that will meet business requirements.
- Provide 3rd level support to the professional services team and support desk.

Key skills needed are:

- Experience with SOA, EJB3, EJB3.1, REST, SOA, Java EE6 stack including Hibernate, JPA, JTA, JAX-WS.
- Understanding of MVC architecture.
- Previous experience of working with Web services.
- SQL

Beneficial or Desirable Skills:

- BPM/Workflow products
- TCP/IP Perl
- Any knowledge of Business Process Management (BPM's) products or practices.
