Java Developer Lead ( with String Oracle Know How)

Overview of business area or project:

The candidate is expected to work on multiple projects in the LRP and NON-LRP domains.

Non Liquidity Reporting

- Treasury Hedge Accounting Tool (THAT) is used to transfer Interest Rates Swap (IRS) risks outside the bank and to reduce IRS P&L impact for the company.
- THAT is implemented in Java and it is a central tool for Treasury Business, Treasury Product Control and as well for Finance Accounting to report P&L to senior Management.
- Candidate needs to work as a lead developer/onsite coordinator for this project

Liquidity Reporting

TECH is the central component of the liquidity reporting framework enabling the following key functions:

- Harmonized data ensuring consistency and convergence for global regulatory and MI liquidity reporting
- Alignment to Books and Records and understanding of data quality through validation and exception management
- Centralized controls enabling reduced operational risk

There is a Java service layer which has been built up on top of TECH to add adhoc/intraday processing capabilities to TECH. This layer needs lot of enhancements and maintenance.

Candidate needs to work as a developer/2nd-3rd level support for different applications hosted in this layer

Key Responsibilities

- Off-Shore coordination
- Integration of implemented Work-Packages into application
- 2nd/3rd level Support for several applications
- Implementation of the application components using Java SE and Java EE
- Support Analysis and Design of the application architecture and its components
- Ensure expected code quality
- Bug fixing and deployments
- Participation in integration and user acceptance testing
- Ensure that common standards, processes and tools are adopted across all deliverables
- Ensure the creation of adequate documentation
- High dedication to quality of her/his deliverables

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

- +7 years of Java development experience
- + 7 years of Oracle 10/11g experience
- + 7 years of SQL experience
- Off Shore Coordination is a must
- Java development with Eclipse under Windows for a Unix target system
- JSF, EJB, Spring-Batch and exposure to MQ and Web services
- SVN experience
- Knowledge and effective use of Maven and Ant
- Bachelor/Master Degree, equal education or qualifying experience in Information Technology
- Expert in Software Engineering and Software Design
- Expert communication skills
- Leadership and People Management skills is a must

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

- Oracle Business Intelligence experience as a plus
- JAP (CS internal platform) knowledge as a plus
- Willingness to work in an agile project model
- Team City and Jenkins experience would a big plus
- Basic Banking know how
