Java Developer Job

JAVA DEVELOPER NEEDED FOR A LONG-TERM CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY WITH YOH'S CLIENT LOCATED IN CHARLOTTE, NC.

Please note that this position does not allow for working remotely, as such the incumbent must be able to work onsite in client's Charlotte, NC location. Must be currently eligible to work in the US for any employer.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Java Development experience
- Very strong communication- this is not a strict development role
- Integration design experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- In order to support the consolidation between Progress and Duke Energy an IT systems analyst position is available in the Supply Chain, Work and Asset Management team.
- The role will be required to both functionally and technically design integration to and from Duke's customer systems.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Knowledge of customer support systems and previous experience designing integration to and from.
- Experienced completing project deliverables required to support application design such as functional design, detailed design, etc.
- Experience in translating functional requirements into a comprehensive design document.
- Clear and concise communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work in a matrixed team environment, with employees and consultants.
- Experience in large scale systems implementations.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Knowledge of customer systems in support of a utility
- Experience with programming concepts, preferably SQL and Java.
- Previous experience in either Duke or Progress customer systems.
- Education: Bachelors Degree or a combination of education plus equivalent work experience

ADDITIONAL POSITION NOTES:

-.*Not looking for a hard core developer. Want someone familiar with customer systems and integration. Must be able to work well with the business. Familiarity authoring a design document a plus.
