Java Developer Job

JAVA DEVELOPER needed for a LONG-TERM CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Charlotte, NC.

MUST BE CURRENTLY ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE US FOR ANY EMPLOYER.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSITION DOES NOT ALLOW FOR WORKING REMOTELY, AS SUCH THE INCUMBENT MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE IN CLIENT'S CHARLOTTE, NC LOCATION.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Seven plus (7+) years of Java Development experience
- Object-oriented design/development experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Understanding requirements and developing technical direction for large scale applications per IT standards
- Creating high level and detailed Java application designs
- Coding new applications and enhancements to existing applications per requirements
- Documenting and executing unit test cases for developed code
- Troubleshooting and resolving application defects.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor Degree or a combination of education plus equivalent work experience
- The candidate should have strong design skills with Java applications and strong SQL Skills.
- Strong English communication skills are required.
- Minimum seven to ten (7-10) years of experience with Java
- Strong experience in the following:
- Custom Java frameworks
- Object Oriented Design and development
- Subversion
- JUnit
- XML
- Debugging/Troubleshooting
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others
- Solid understanding of exceptions, error handling, transactions
- Familiarity with UML

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with large-scale applications
- Experience with Customer Billing Systems
- Experience with common functions that interface with multiple Back End systems.
