SOFTWARE ENGINEER needed for a contract job opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Francisco, CA.

The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess
- MapReduce or AWS or Cloud platforms
- Advanced Java development
- Large-scale, distributed systems

What You'll Be Doing:
- Responsible for a hands on technical role
- Major contributor to full software development life cycle.
- Ability to analyze, architect, design, implement, and test software product
- Develop data analytics functions, Business Intelligence tools or data warehousing capabilities
- Gather requirements and design new features in the system and possibly re-architect the system for better performance, scalability, and quality
- Work with the open source community to review and approve changes

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in the industry
- Advanced Java development skills
- Strong understanding in algorithms, data structures, multi-threading.
- Five to ten (5 - 10) years experience in software development for system software design.
- Experience with using or designing large-scale, distributed systems.
- Must be hands on programmer with strong data-structures and algorithms,
- Java experience desired, C++ is desired.
- Experience with MapReduce or AWS or Cloud platforms..

Bonus Points!
- Scala experience is a plus
