Java Developer Job

Yoh has multiple contract opportunities for JAVA DEVELOPERS to support our client in St. Charles, MO. These are longterm multi-year assignments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Developing prototypes and performing complex application coding and programming.
- Interprets end-user business requirements to develop and/or modify technical design specifications for off-the-shelf and/or custom-developed applications.
- Analyzes and reviews software requirements to determine feasibility of a design within time and cost restraints.
- Performs unit and integration testing and assists with developing unit test scripts.
- Provides instruction and guidance to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments.
- Will be responsible for working with Project Managers and Software Engineers to implement new functionality and modifications, meeting all development, PII and PCI security standards.
- The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast paced, production environment and have the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Analyze, design, develop, test, maintain, document and install standalone and Client Server software applications using Java, JUnit, and Oracle.
- Code and successfully perform unit and integration testing of software to ensure proper and efficient execution as well as compliance with the business and technical requirements.
- Resolve in a timely manner problems that arise with existing production applications to ensure the efficient and proper functioning of application components.
- Participate in acceptance testing to ensure client/user needs are met.
- Migrate applications to quality assurance and/or the production environment, or perform quality assurance as necessary.
- Work with Managers and team members to develop to development standards.
- Have minimal return work as a result of misunderstanding assigned tasks, communicating with users, and exercising appropriate judgment between what is requested and what is feasible.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- Five (5) plus years of experience in JAVA programming language.
- Spring, Hibernate, XML,
- Experience in Full life cycle development and end-to-end testing.
- Three (3) plus years of experience knowledge of Oracle database environment.
- Five (5) plus years of experience in SQL.
- Experience with EJB's.
- ESB and SOP Web Services experience a big plus.
- Proficient knowledge of NT/Unix operating systems.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must be able to effectively communicate to various levels of management and with people with varying technical knowledge.
