Java Developer in Repo

Top Investment Bank seek expert core Java Developer at AVP level to join REPO team working in trading systems.

This global business requires an excellent Information Technology team to deliver accurate and timely data to advisers, sales and trading staff ensuring maximum profitability, reduced costs, and reduced operational risks. The REPO IT team deals with the majority of the Firm's financing needs globally. Its Repo team is a global organisation.

The REPO IT team will involve full exposure to ION Trading and therefore the successful candidate should have exposure to trading systems. You should also have strong core Java 6 experience with proven record of delivery. Prior experience of developer server-side applications using distributed caching technologies is required with strong exposure to Coherence.

Your position will involve working as a key Java developer - and be responsible for strategic systems development as defined. Tactical development and mentorship of other team members will also be a key function. You will work closely with the trading floor, other IT teams and the associated business units who have a stake in the system.

You must have experience developing multi-threaded, real-time applications using the Java Concurrency packages and framework programming.

Experience with the following systems is also expected: Eclipse IDE, Perforce, JUnit, JMX, Coherence, Mockito, Ant, TeamCity, XML, SQL.

You must have a 2:1/1st degree (or equivalent) in a numerate/analytical subject.

Any experience with REPO e.g. PnL, Balance Sheet, Risk and all Trading activities is advantageous. Desirable experience also includes Sybase, Oracle or MS SQL Server.
