Java Developer

Our client is a rapidly growing software development company, and the have an immediate need for a contract to perm Senior Java App Developer. In this hands-on position, you will work on development teams of 3-7 depending on the project. They run Agile methodology and hire only the best and brightest coders available.

Responsibilities:

- Develop all advanced aspects of presentation-tier and middle-tier web applications using Java and J2EE in the WebWork framework.
- Strong knowledge of the SDLC including client requirements gathering, design specifications, solution development and testing of client applications, client support, training, and systems integration.
- As desired, assume lead level responsibility as it pertains to overseeing work efforts of junior Developer resources.

Requirements:

- 5 years of proven programming experience with Java with at least 2 years of J2EE web application development experience.
- 2 years in a UNIX environment
- Relational Database experience (Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, or Oracle)
- Experience with a J2EE Application Server (JBoss, Weblogic, WebSphere, or similar)
- Can analyze software requirements and document technical specifications for a web-based solution
- SDLC with emphasis on technical design and documentation activities
- Work cycles and product complexities in an enterprise software solution

Preferences:

- Webwork, Spring, Struts and/or Hibernate strongly preferred
- BEA WebLogic and/or IBM WebSphere experience
- Client facing experience
