Java Developer - FX Trading, Low Latency - Agile- London - (Contract)

JAVA DEVELOPER - FX TRADING, LOW LATENCY - AGILE- LONDON - (CONTRACT)

Looking for a highly experienced Java developer with excellent experience in the finance market, particularly within FX trading/etrading applications (Core Java, Low Latency, Multithreading, Garbage Collection) and enthusiasm in Agile (XP, TDD/BDD, Pair Programming, Lean, KanBan, CI, CD, DevOps)

Long term project based (2 years of work in the pipeline at the moment) based in Canary Wharf, London with a major international investment bank. We want a senior, experienced contractor that has worked on many high volume, low latency, Core Java projects and can bring a wealth of knowledge in these areas, as well as extensive knowledge in strong Agile environments (XP, TDD/BDD, Pair Programming, Lean, KanBan, CI, CD, DevOps)

The ideal Senior Java Developer will have experience in eFX and etrading applications.

KEY SKILLS:

- Core Java
- Multithreading, concurrency, low latency, high volume
- Version control (Git, SVN, Mercurial)
- Large scale projects
- Finance, FX, Trading
- TDD/BDD (test driven development/behaviour driven development)
- XP (eXtreme Programming), Scrum, Kanban, Lean
- Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, DevOps culture
- Excellent communication skills, client facing
- Mentoring experience
- Other JVM languages (Scala, Groovy, Ruby) would be a bonus
- Agile enthusiast!
