Java Developer (Full Stack)

JAVA DEVELOPER (FULL STACK)

I am currently looking for the right Java Developer (Full stack) to join my multi-national clients' team in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This will be a long term opportunity with an initial contract offer of 6 to 12 months with extensions offered based on performance.

THE RIGHT JAVA DEVELOPER (FULL STACK) WILL IDEALLY HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE:

- You have knowledge of Scripting languages like Python, Ruby, Groovy, good knowledge of modern application Servers such as Nginx and Tomcat, good knowledge of enterprise level networking (TCP/IP, VPNs, SFTP, Proxy, Firewalls) and excellent knowledge of OS fundamentals with the ability to apply it in the context of modern operating systems, eg RHEL, CentOS etc. (you should be at the top of your game in at least one of these areas).
- You enjoy to come up with solutions in new technologies
- You have experience with working in a complex and challenging IT environment
- You have experience in an Agile/Scrum/DevOps Team
- You are a team player and a true professional in every way
- You speak up, are transparent and not shy to confront somebody
- You handle production support issues as they arise
- You have a getting-things-done mentality
- You have an attitude of succeeding and think innovative. You are ambitious, flexible and deliver what and when you promise.
- You have good knowledge and real-world experience in provisioning environments with tools such as Puppet, Chef and Docker, as well as knowledge of NoSQL data stores such as Cassandra
- You have experience with modern OSS tools such as Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, Sonar.
- It is a big nice-to-have if you have knowledge of well-known OSS tools in the area of Performance/Capacity/Availability Monitoring, such as Ganglia, Nagios, Graphite, Zabbix.
- You are always pro- active, when you take a risk, it is calculated.
- You have passion for IT! A natural hunger to be the best at IT and deliver the best output.
- You are always trying to improve your skills, to continuously learn and get better at what you do to be able to deliver the highest quality.
