Java Developer - Exchange Connectivity - Low Latency

A Java Developer is required by a leading investment bank based in Canary Wharf to work on a new Commodities e-Commerce platform.

The platform offers low latency trading of Precious Metals including auto-hedging of positions. This requirement will see the successful developer working on the next phase of the project, which will offer a new Base Metals trading platform to the banks clients.

The developer will play a major part in the eCommerce development team and be responsible for the development of Exchange Connectivity components of the Java/ Unix based platform.

Candidates must hold extensive experience of server side Java, Low Latency, Real-Time, Design patterns, Messaging, XML and the development of Exchange Connectivity i.e. FIX protocol. Any experience of C# would be beneficial as some components are built in this language.

From a business perspective and understanding of Futures, Forwards and Options would be useful as would any product knowledge around Commodities, Precious Metals, Base metals etc.
