Java Developer, Equities Derivatives Trading Desk

Top NYC bank looking for an experienced Java developer to join their equities derivatives trading team. You'll be working on the system of record
for an Equity Derivative trading floor. The right candidate will be developing the
processes to import data consumed by live risk systems, to calculate P&L, and to feed positions to all downstream systems such as Market Risk, General Ledger,
Compliance, Clearing and Client reporting.

Required
7+ years experience developing in Financial Applications
Core Java 1.6 or greater
Shell scripting (korn, bash, perl, etc.)
Unix/Linux commands
Strong Database skills (SQL, Stored Procedures, performance tuning)
Experience in Equities or Fixed Income required - Must understand financial derivative products

The role will be working on an application that is primarily used for middle to back office functionality. Although it is part of the Equity Derivative trading platform, it is not entirely a low latency application like trading or risk management. The primary skill set is shell scripting, database and Java. The ideal candidate has worked on middle to back office systems in the past and has a strong financial background. They tend to like candidates that have worked on settlements, payments, clearing or on P&L systems to name a few.
