The ideal candidate for the role of Java Developer should have a strong mix of the following skills:
- REST and SOAP web services.
- Programming languages: Java, Beanshell/Javascript, JSP/Servlets and SQL.
- XML, SPML/SOAP, HTML, Web and Application Servers.
- Setting up Windows and Unix (Linux, Sun, HP, Aix) platforms.

- Directories: LDAP, AD
- Enterprise systems: SAP
- Identity management theory and practice
- Network technologies
- Agile development practices: Scrum, Unit testing etc
- Troubleshooting and complex production issue resolution.

- Development tools and deployment practices and procedures: Eclipse, Ant, Ivy, Maven, Nexus.
- J2EE web application upgrades and deployment.
